Web Design Terms for Thursday, November 4, and Quiz Reminder

Check this out! Check this out: Here are the Web design terms, concepts, and principles from class on Thursday, November 4:
  1. Consistency in design facilitates the ability of users to "learn" your site.
  2. Usability can be summed up in one word: "findability"
  3. Findability is achieved through search and browse
  4. Known-item searching means that you know what you are looking for, you
have a key word or phrase that you use in searching a site or a page.
  5. Functionality trumps aesthetics every time in "user-centered" Web design usability.

Remember: the quiz on Tuesday, November 9, covers tutorials 10 (Navigation on the WWW) and 11 (Tables: Key to Design Control), and design terms, concepts, and principles from October 7, 21, November 2, and 4.
