The first international conference of the Service Operations Management Association (SOMA) will be held at Bentley College on August 22-25, 1999. The theme of the conference will be Service Management in the 21^st Century: Integrating Technology and People, and will include presentations by both academics and practitioners.

All submitted papers and abstracts will be peer reviewed. A conference Proceedings will be published and selected papers will undergo an additional review for publication in a special edition of the International Journal of Service Industry Management that will focus on Technology and Services.

Instructions for Submission:

All papers, abstracts and proposals are to be typed, double spaced. Authors must submit four copies. Abstracts should be a minimum of four pages and regular papers should not exceed 20 pages in length. In submitting a manuscript the author(s) certify that it is not copyrighted or that it has not been previously published. Each copy of the paper/abstract should have two title pages; the first with both the title and author(s) name(s), mailing address(es) and telphone number(s), the second with only the title of the paper.
